Aim
1. To Create the eight components (three links, piston and cylinder, wheel, tire, and axle) and six pins (A-F) as parts using CREO. Dimensions shown are approximate dimensions only. To Design the detail dimensions so that there are no improper interference in the assembly. Changes cannot be made to the plan-view location of the ground points (A, D, and F), the dimensions of the tire and wheel, and the vertical distance from D to the center of the axle (G) in the down position (as shown in Figure below). All dimensions are Meters.
2. Create the assembly and two sub-assemblies (piston/cylinder and wheel/tire).

3. Perform finite element analysis using ANSYS on each pin
Modeling of the Landing Gear
Each component of the Landing gear was designed using dimensions given in PDF attached below.
Following images show the CAD Models of parts, sub-assemblies and Main Assembly

The hydraulic Piston and cylinder are made as a sub-assembly
Following video shows the dynamic simulation of the entire assembly of a Landing Gear
Detailed drawings of each part of the Assembly in PDF format are provided in the zipped file below.
Maximum Stress analysis was performed on each Pin in ANSYS APDL. Following images show results of the analysis.
